I AM BACK

Hey Guys,

Yea, I know it's been a while since I've been on here but just be happy that I'm back. In my absence a lot of things have been accomplished. July, my birthday month :) ,I was named to the WNBA'S All-Star for 2011(insert applause here). It was a very humbling experience be able to take the court with so many great players. The WNBA was also honoring the top 15 players in its history so I was able to meet many of the league's pioneers. I want to give a quick shout out to Nike- they showered the nike athletes with gear :) Ok, enough about All-Star weekend.

Moving right along...
MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC. In case you guys have been living under a rock in Antarctica, music is my 2nd passion. This summer I got a chance to meet so many awesome musicians, producers, engineers, and artists. It felt so good to be accepted as solely an artist/producer in a world where so many athletes that lack skill have made it difficult for those that actually possess talent. You can let your mind ponder that if you'd like lol Anyway... being able to showcase my talents on the radio, video, internet, and in studio among men and women that have known nothing but cadences, double entendres, metaphorical phrases, similies, and verbal execution made me realize that I can roll with the best of them. Well, only time will tell in that case, but it def was a great marker. I've put my stamp on records as a producer, but more recently, I received the official stamp of approval for being an inspiration. Albe Back, noteably known for his acting and poetry, released his official album- Raphael Dela Ghetto. What many do not know is that Albe has been rapping for years, been around the country performing, and has inspired artists that have made some of our most listened to records. I'm sure you guys get the point now; This guy is talented. Listed in his 'Thank You's for his album was me- that's right, ME. It came as a complete surprise to me, but it was oh so humbling. To aspire to be something is one thing, but the day you become and inspiration for someone else is the day you've begun to leave your legacy. OOOOOOOOO I got deep on ya huh? I'll back up and let you guys breathe a little and save the philisophical talk for my motivational speaking.

Now onto a new day...

I am now in Spain. Spain is a BEAUTIFUL country. If I didn't need to bring you guys up-to-date I would just leave it at that, but since I do let's keep it going. Madrid, Oh how I love thee. What is there not to love about Spain? Rhetorical question so hush. They have beaches, great food, basketball, soccer, volleyball, beaches, great food, good music, and great food. They natives are very welcoming and hospitable. When you're abroad that is something you only hope to have. So far, soooooooooo good. I play for Rivas Ecopolis based out of Rivas Vaciamadrid. You can check us out at Stay updated with upcoming games by visiting the site

It's been real guys! I'll be back on here a lot more so keep your eyes on the look out for new posts.

History

The WNBA's 1st game was played 15 yrs ago on this day. It is such an honor to be a part of the league in 2011. There were many that came before me that paved the way and I only wish to do the same for those that come after.

Losing 3 straight has been on my mind so the only thing in focus is a W. LA is a tough team with an even tougher match-up, but this white line D is a monster. America should enjoy tonight's game.

On another note, today Syd,Alex, and I had the pleasure of having breakfast in the same dining area as Jackie Jackson. Oh yea, we even got to check out the newest Jackson out, Austin Brown. You should check him out and let me know what you think.

LA has been good to me and hopefully it'll be even better tonight. Liberty fans stay behind us and we're going to keep on pushing. We'll be back soon to OFFICIALLY rock the Rock soon.

Until next time....
Y'all know it iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis.

Thisis50

Good Morning

Man, it's been a great two weeks. Last week I was up at Shade 45 with Ms. Mimi and this week I was at G-Unit offices with thisis50. I've truly been blessed. In both cases they showed a lot of love to the mixtape. I honestly believe I can break down the barrier between hip-hop and basketball...even though the two can be considered synonymous. Having a chance to sit in the offices of G-Unit was very unbelievable. Knowing that it was/is my talents that gave me the opportunity to be there and to be interviewed was very humbling. I had the chance to meet G-Unit's own comedian Jack Thriller. Not only is he funny, he's a good guy. Oh yeah, how could I forget??? As I was awaiting my interview who walks in????? Well, it was none other than world famous, hi-hop artist, producer, and DJ, DJ Quik. I thought he was going to be much shorter than what he actually is. He's somewhere around my height, 6'0 or so. Being able to share the same offices and have the same purpose for being there let's me know that I am well on my way. Anyway, be on the lookout for that interview with Jack Thriller via thisis50.com

Moving right along...
Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing an interview with The Breakdown. Dave and Audley showed lots of love to me as an artist/producer and to the NY Liberty. Two great guys that allowed me to use their platform to showcase my own talents and to talk about this year's season...they even asked me would I collab with Ron Artest and had me spit a few bars at the end of the interview for y'all. It was another good interview and I hope to be able to do it again. I'll provide links to both interviews so you can keep up with everything.

My real job...
Today we have a tough matchup ahead of us vs the Indiana Fever. The Fever have always been a championship contender and U expect this year to be no different. With tonight being the 1st game of the back-to-back game, I know my body is going to feel the after shock... hey it's what I signed up for lol. You gotta love this game! I'm so excited that the season has started. After playing abroad for 6-7 months, it's always good to be able to do what you love in front of people you love. It gets no better than this. I want to give a quick shout out to everyone that showed us love on our first win of the season against ATL. I know a lot of things have changed in New York, but I'm sure you guys will love it. The only thing that won't change is the winning tradition the NY Liberty has brought to the city that never sleeps. With that said....LEHGOOOOO

So today is the big day. Today's interview with Miss Mimi at G-unit radio will be one to remember. My first music interview :). With music being my second passion it just feels good to embark on my musical journey while still playing basketball. Yea I know... don't quit my day job lol. I actually love my day job and wouldn't even think about quitting. Anyway, I want to thank Miss Mimi and G-Unit radio formaking a dream a reality. I know this is only the beginning, bu it's always nice to show gratitude. Shout out to my Grandma for the good manners. I also want to thank all the femcees that came before me that allow n showed me how to do what I now do. Thank you.

Back to ball...had a nice exhibition game against the Chinese National Team. Of course we came home with the win. Today, we had a great practice. The key to being successful this year as a team is to improve everyday and peak at the right time. That white line defense is becoming killer as we get more practices under our belt. Check us out against ATL on June 5th season opener.

Don't forget to check me out tonight!

I'm Early huh?

Goooooooood morning!!!

I'm up early this morning getting my body and my mind prepared for our first scrimmage. Today's scrimmage will be at CCNY. For those unfamiliar that's City College of New York. The first few days of training camp have been awesome. I love the work that the rookies are putting in. Despite their lack of professional experience, they counter that with open minds and a will to learn. In my 4th season I'm now considered a veteran, so many times they come to me with questions. It makes me feel old, but also respected.

Coach Whisenant reminds me so much of Coach Stringer. They're both defensive oriented...and from the same era. With practice being so defensive driven, as an athlete you have to know that you MUST take care of your legs. What better way of taking care of your legs than a nice cold ice bath? :insert sarcasm here: Although the ice bath may be the best thing known to rejuvenate sore muscles, it is also the worst thing known to man. I've been an athlete for the majority of my life and I STILL have a problem with sitting in freezing cold water.... go figure huh? lol. Seriously speaking though, if you're an athlete looking for a faster turnaround time, I'd recommend taking a ice bath for about 15-20 min.

Moving along with my morning....

I'm actually supposed to be sleep at the moment, but I have this project I need to put the finishing touches on :) Now that I think about it, I went to sleep very early yesterday. I started my sweet slumber around 7pm, woke up a few hours later for a bite to eat, then fell back to sleep around midnight. Over 8 hours of sleep for me. Those that know me do know that 8 hours itself is a long time for me to sleep. I guess it's all this hard work they have us doing out here in New York. Speaking of hard work, shout out to this rain! I've never had to work so hard to GET to practice! Yesterday, so many roads were flooded because of the down pour. Not only did I have to swerve massive puddles the size of the Hudson River, but I had drive double the time.

An-y-way
How did you guys like the photos on ? I posted the newest set of photos and hope you guys really enjoyed them. After all the photoshoots I've done I think I'm going to quit my day job and become a professional smiler....a lot less stress on the body and no thinking involved, just smile. Ok ok ok I was kidding. I'm done blabbing this morning and need to finish up this quick project. Don't forget to check out the Follow Me to The Lights mixtape at Thank you for your support already!!!!! you spread the word and I spread the love

Love ya-

today's randomness...

Goodmorning all! I figured I'd start this morning off with a blog entry. As you all know, the mixtape 'Follow Me...To The Lights' has been released via reverbnation.com/pr3pe. I'm loving all of the feedback I'm getting about it. Believe it or not, but I have been dibbing and dabbing in rap/poetry since a young age. Find my niche wasn't as easy as it seems. Constantly listening to the flow of some of the greats, both male and female, allowed me to critique myself and set the bar pretty high.

Anyway, enough of that! I'm actually pulled over in the financial district of NYC taking some time out to get some thoughts out and listen to some instrumentals. It's about 5 after 8 right now and I'm trying to get some quick breakfast before I head up to the gym for a nice lil workout with the NY Liberty staff. The season is right around the corner and I'm just making sure I'm ultimately prepared.

Today, I get to meet one of our rookies which will be pretty cool. On another note, yesterday was spent with former teammate Ephianny Prince and mutual friend Tamera Young of the Chicago Sky. We had a great time. We hit up the famous soul food spot of Harlem, Sylvia's. There's nothing like soul food! The night was filled with many laughes.

Ok let me get back on track! As you probably already see, my mind has thoughts running all over the place; so I'm going to take this time to plan out my day real quick.
-workout
-shower
-lunch while driving and blasting some music in the car
-return to home production studio to work on some projects for myself and others
-stare into space for a couple minutes
-get back to work
-evening errands in downtown Manhattan
-order chinese
-NBA 2K11
-annnnd eventually sleep

Alright, that sounds about right. I guess I can wrap this up and get outta here now. I think this traffic cop really wants to give me a ticket right now but has no reason to...I wonder does it make their day when they issue a ticket. Oh wait daaaang someone is about to get towed. That's really going to suck. Good thing I'm in my car. Smh. Ok I'm done for real this time. Catch y'all later!!!!!

Follow The Lights

Hello blogworld,

I know that I have facebook, twitter and defunct myspace but I wanted to get my blog on since my website is still in production.

Last week, my mixtape was released and it has been well received. I am so happy with all of comments, likes and shout outs..The album should be out by the Fall.
